The debt of PJSC Ukrnafta to the national budget on payment of taxes and fees for the period from August 2014 to January 1, 2016 comes to UAH 10.4 billion, according to a letter from Naftogaz Ukrainy to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
According to the document, the debt includes UAH 8.4 billion of unpaid royalties, UAH 1.3 billion of debt on advance payments of income tax and another UAH 600 million of unpaid VAT.
"The company in 2015 paid more than UAH 5.3 billion of taxes and duties to the national budget. The level of performance of tax liabilities in 2015 is 35%, which is lower than the corresponding figure in 2014 by almost 2.5 times," reads the letter.
At the same time, according to Naftogaz, as of January 1 the debtor indebtedness of Ukrnafta amounted to UAH 18.676 billion.
"The return of even 50% of the existing debtor indebtedness would allow the company to pay taxes, fees to the national budget," according to the document.
