Public joint-stock company Ukrnafta, the largest oil producer in Ukraine where the state holds 50% plus one share, has paid dividends of UAH 1.77 billion to the state, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"I would like to inform government members and Ukrainians that Ukrnafta sent UAH 1.77 billion to the national budget. Dividends are paid," the prime minister said at a cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Yatseniuk said that the government this year managed to reshuffle the company's top managers and restore state control over it.
Naftogaz Ukrainy owns a 50% plus one share stake in Ukrnafta and a group of companies related to the shareholders of PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk) holds about 42% of the shares in the company.
