Some UAH 95.7 bln to be sent for defense needs of Ukraine in 2016 – prime minister
It is planned to send UAH 97.5 billion to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and 3,700 units of new equipment and armament have been sent to military, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at his last press conference of the year in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"UAH 97.5 billion was foreseen for financing of the Armed Forces. The government financed the purchase of new equipment and armaments by UAH 5 billion," he said.
Yatseniuk said that according to the Defense Ministry's information, over 3,700 units of new equipment and armament have been sent to the Armed Forces.
He said that around 38,000 units of equipment and armament were repaired and returned to military.
