Sixty-seven border guards killed in Donbas hostilities, none captured
Sixty-seven Ukrainian border guards have died in the hostilities in southeastern Ukraine, Ukrainian State Border Service head Viktor Nazarenko has said.
"Regretfully, 67 border guards have been killed, 406 have suffered injuries, and six have gone missing," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He also said there were no Ukrainian border guards held captive at the moment.
A total of 14,500 border guards have taken part in the hostilities, and more than 13,000 of them have received combatant status, Nazarenko said.
