IMF to analyze balance of Ukraine's national budget – finance minister
The Finance Ministry of Ukraine is waiting for the final version of the bill on the national budget that would have all amendments proposed in the profile committee and in the session hall and will hand it to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to analyze it if the budget is balanced, Finance Minister of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko has said.
"Receiving of the next tranche from the IMF and other financial assistance linked to it depends on the budget's compliance with the goals of our programs with the IMF after all amendments made in Rada, if the budget is left balanced and conscientious," Jaresko wrote on her Facebook page on Friday.
She said that the IMF specialists will answer this question.
She said that without support from the IMF the retaining of economic stability and economic growth are unlike in the country.
The Finance Ministry said in a press release after the adoption of the national budget hat its deficit is UAH 83.7 billion or 3.7% of GDP, as it is outlined in the IMF benchmarks.
