Ukraine to buy up to 8 bln cubic meters of gas from Poland - PM Yatseniuk
Ukraine is ready to buy 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Poland once the two countries have built an inter-connector between their gas transportation systems, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
"We have an inter-connector construction project between Ukraine and Poland. If it is built, you'll be importing lots of gas and we'll be buying lots of gas, up to 8 billion cubic meters. And together, we will be more profitable and more energy-independent," Yatseniuk told Polish President Andrzej Duda in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He congratulated Poland on the launch of an LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal in Swinoujscie which has started receiving natural gas from Qatar.
