NBU transfers working day of banking system from Jan 8 to Jan 16
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has transferred the working day of the banking system from Friday, January 8, to Saturday, January 16, 2016, the NBU said on its website.
The decision was made, taking into account cabinet resolution No. 1155-r.
The special procedure for operation of banks in the New Year period foresees that the operation of the NBU electronic payment system will extended for two hours on December 29 and December 30. All transactions with clients are to be completed on December 30.
According to the report, on January 4, banks will operate without clients. Interbank money transfers via the electronic payment system will not be serviced on January 4. The electronic payment system and the banking system will operate in the usual mode on January 5, January 6 and January 11.
The NBU electronic payment system, e-mail system, NBU depository, the system for confirming transactions on the interbank currency market, the system for buying and selling credit funds in the national currency on the interbank market CredInfo2, the system for registering credit agreements with nonresidents "Register of Agreements Signed with Nonresidents 2" will not operate on January 1 through January 3 and on January 7 through January 10.
From December 31, 2015 to January 5, 2016, banks will operate using the official hryvnia exchange rate to foreign currencies and banking metals set on December 30, 2015. On January 6 through January 10, 2016, banks will operate using the official hryvnia exchange rate to foreign currencies and banking metals set on January 5, 2016.
