Ukraine will retain access to IMF funding due to change in its lending policy - Jaresko
Ukraine has welcomed the decision of the Executive Board of Directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that allows lending to countries having debts to official creditors, Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has said.
"This is important because in our situation there is the issue of non-restructured Russian eurobonds... If we do not find the possibility of restructuring, the door to the IMF financing won't close for us," she said at a press conference in Kyiv.
At the same time, she said she does not know whether the new IMF policy will be extended to the Ukrainian situation.
