Draft state budget for 2016 built on forecast average gas price of $210-215 – Energy Ministry

Ukraine forecasts the purchase price of gas imports in 2016 in the amount of $210-215 per 1,000 cubic meters, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said.

"As far as I remember the matter concerned $210-215," he said in Kyiv.

Earlier Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Valery Golubev said that the price of gas for Ukraine in the first quarter of 2016 is $230 per 1,000 cubic meters excluding a possible "discount."

According to Naftogaz Ukrainy Head Andriy Kobolev, by the end of the year the gas price proposed by Gazprom for Ukraine is non-competitive in comparison with proposals in the European market. Naftogaz expects proposals from Gazprom as for the gas price for Ukraine for the first quarter of 2016.
