Ukraine, EU reaffirm readiness to continue talks on DCFTA
Ukraine and European Union reiterated their readiness to continue talks at the ministerial and expert levels by using the flexibilities offered by the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), reads a common statement following the Association Council meeting between EU and Ukraine.
"The Association Council also took stock of the trilateral talks on DCFTA implementation. The EU and Ukraine reiterated their readiness to continue talks at the ministerial and expert levels by using the flexibilities offered by the DCFTA. They underlined that any solutions found must respect relevant WTO provisions and commitments," reads the document released on the website of the European Council.
Еhe EU-Ukraine FTA agreement will take effect on a provisional basis from January 1, 2016, the parties stated.
