VAT refund electronic system will be introduced within tax reform - Yatseniuk

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk is confident an electronic system of VAT refunds will be introduced within the tax reform.

"A new model of VAT refunds will be introduced in the Tax Code: all applications will be recorded electronically and VAT will be refunded in an electronic format," Yatseniuk said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels.

As reported, Head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov stated that the fiscal service plans by the end of the year to pay off VAT refund arrears in the amount of UAH 3.5 billion.

Nasirov said that VAT refund arrears are still significant – about UAH 15 billion as of the end of November. At the same time, he noted that this summer VAT refund debts amounted to UAH 22 billion.
