Ukraine ready to double or triple corn, wheat, sunflower oil exports to Turkey – agriculture minister
Ukraine is ready to double or triple exports of corn, wheat and sunflower oil to Turkey if Russia restricts supplies, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko has said.
"If Russia starts restricting trade [Russia is one of the key suppliers on the Turkish market], we are ready to fully guarantee food security and ready to double or triple exports of corn, wheat and sunflower oil," he said after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Pavlenko said that exports of Ukrainian products to Turkey in 2014 reached $500 million and in January-October 2015 it was $560 million.
