Ukraine to impose 39.2% duty on Belarusian imports, including milk, beer, agricultural machinery
The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade will impose a special duty of 39.2% of the customs value of goods on imports from Belarus.
"The commission has considered the materials provided by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on the introduction of appropriate measures in response to discriminatory and hostile actions on the part of Belarus concerning the legitimate rights and interests of Ukraine's foreign economic activity objects, namely confectionery and brewing companies," Uriadovy Kurier newspaper has reported.
The decision will take effect on January 20, 2016.
The special fee will remain in effect until Belarus terminates what the commission describes as discriminatory and hostile actions against Ukraine.
