EU, intl community should not alienate or isolate Belarus - Yatseniuk
The international community and the European Union should in no case allow the isolation of Belarus, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"For the international community, the EU and all of us it is very important in no case to alienate or isolate Belarus. There will come a time when the democratic changes in Belarus will go at a fast pace," Yatseniuk said at the Civil Society Forum of the Eastern Partnership countries in Kyiv on Friday.
When asked about the reluctance of the Ukrainian Embassy in Minsk to communicate with democratic forces in Belarus, the Ukrainian prime minister pledged his assistance in this matter. "I will pass this information about the embassy to the president and the foreign affairs minister and will personally attend to this matter," Yatseniuk said.
