Cabinet proposes Rada reduces threshold for tax-free imports by individuals
The Cabinet of Ministers has proposed that the parliament should reduce the threshold value of goods that individuals can bring into the country without paying taxes.
This provision is contained in bill No. 3470 which has been registered in the parliament.
The Cabinet proposes to establish that individuals can carry out hand-luggage or accompanied baggage tax-free imports through checkpoints open to air and sea traffic of goods with an invoice value of up to EUR 430 (currently up to EUR 1,000). For the remaining checkpoints, the Cabinet proposes establishing a tax-free regime for imports for goods with an invoice value of up to EUR 300 (currently EUR 500).
An explanatory note to the bill states that it has been developed within the framework of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
