NBU sells $5.3 mln at UAH 23.7/$1 at currency auction with demand being $17.7 mln
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) at an auction on the sale of currency to banks according to the Dutch system on November 17, sold $5.3 million at the rate of up to UAH 23.7 per $1, according to the bank's website.
The total amount of applications submitted for the auction stood at $17.7 million at the rate of UAH 22.65 per $1 to UAH 23.70 per $1.
According to the central bank, the average weighted hryvnia to U.S. dollar exchange rate was UAH 23.6698 per $1, while 20.8% of the applications were satisfied at the minimum rate.
As reported, during auctions on October 30 and November 2 some $67.5 million was sold in the interbank market.
