Grain harvest could reach 60 mln tonnes under optimistic scenario - agriculture ministry

The grain harvest in Ukraine in 2015 could reach 60 million tonnes under the optimistic scenario, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko tweeted.

He said that the wheat harvest will be 28.8 million tonnes, corn -22.4 million tonnes, barley – 8.5 million tonnes, rye – 388,000 tonnes and millet – 484,000 tonnes.

The sunflower seeds harvest could reach 10 million tonnes, soybeans – 3.7 million tonens and rapeseeds – 1.8 million tonnes.
