Ukrainian govt intends to approve draft state budget for next year with IMF mission – finance minister
The Ukrainian government has now begun the approval of a draft tax reform and a draft state budget for 2016 based on it with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission and plans to submit them to the Verkhovna Rada in late November or early December, Ukraine's Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said.
"We cannot give any figure and then conduct negotiations. We have to get prior approval," Jaresko said in an interview with Ukraine's Channel Five television on Thursday evening.
The minister said the delay in the submission of this package to the parliament is due not only to its verification by the IMF, but also to the need to cut costs and the debate on the areas in which such a reduction should take place.
