Court collects UAH 25.6 mln of debt to special fund from UIA under PGO’s claim
The business court of Kyiv has satisfied the claim of Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) of Kyiv to collect a debt of UAH 25.6 million from Ukraine International Airline (UIA, Kyiv) in favor of the state in the person of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine.
According to a post on the website of the Ukrainian PGO, the debt was the result of non-payment of duties by the airline to the special fund to finance general public expenses on aviation for passenger and cargo transportation services for February 2014 and January-April 2015.
“With the purpose of protecting the interests of the state, the PGO of Kyiv asked the court to collect the funds from UIA. The court supported the position of the PGO and obliged the airline to pay the debt to the state,” the PGO said.
