The 61 Communards Shipyard (Mykolaiv), part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, in October 2015 accelerated the pace of repair of warships compared to September, the press service of the state concern reported on Monday.
"Building and repair of military ships and civilian vessels for the needs of national customers have been accelerated as the key area of the enterprise's activity," reads the report.
The press service said that now the 61 Communards Shipyard repairs Svatove assault boats, Pryluky missile boat and the cutter Hryhoriy Kuropiatnykov.
The major part of the cutter Hryhoriy Kuropiatnykov is planned to finish by December 1, 2015 and transfer the ship for bottom painting," reads the press release.
"Recently, the production terms at the plant had been shifted because of the lack of working capital. Now the term of fulfilling orders depends only on the timely financing by a customer and purchase of all the required materials," the press service said.
