Ukraine ready for possible cessation of gas supplies from Russia - Demchyshyn
Ukraine is ready for a possible cessation of Russian gas supplies during the heating season, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said during "An hour of questions" to the government in the parliament.
"Of course, there are two risk factors: a possibility of force majeure cases in gas supplies from the Russian Federation, to which we are also preparing and we've got ready in full," he said.
According to Demchyshyn, Ukraine this year before the heating season has purchased 1 billion cubic meters more gas than last year.
"I am sure with this volume we will pass the heating season without any unexpected situations," he said.
