Poroshenko, Lagarde coordinate efforts on IMF program implementation
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has had a telephone conversation with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde.
"The interlocutors discussed the ongoing reforms in Ukraine, in particular tax reform, on combating corruption, and they coordinated their efforts to implement the conditions of the IMF program," the president's press service has reported.
Lagarde congratulated Poroshenko for the success of the Ukrainian local elections on October 25.
In turn, Poroshenko expressed his gratitude to the IMF for its ongoing support of Ukraine.
