World Bank to consider issue of $500 mln to Naftogaz in Dec-Jan - Kobolev
The Board of Directors of the World Bank will consider the issue of a $500 million loan to National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz Ukrainy in December this year or January next year, Naftogaz Head Andriy Kobolev has said in Kyiv.
"The date of a board meeting and two further options will be considered, to be held in December or January," he said.
Kobolev added that the conditions of the loan are being discussed, under which Naftogaz Ukrainy will be able to buy gas from Europe and the Russian Federation using World Bank money.
"At the moment, the so called term sheet has been filed. It suggests the possibility of buying from two directions. The final decision will be made when the bank board makes and formalizes it," Kobolev said.
