Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk expects a 1%, rise in Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2015 compared to the previous quarter.
"I look forward to a report from Ukrainian statistics, and, according to preliminary data, there will be positive GDP growth. Yes, it will be small, up to 1%, but this is the first signal. This means that our forecasts about economic growth in 2016 will come true," he said at a meeting of the cabinet.
As reported, Head of the National Bank Valeriya Gontareva said in late September that GDP growth in the third quarter from the previous quarter would reach 1%.
The State Statistics Service previously improved its estimate of GDP decline in the second quarter of this year relative to the previous quarter from, 0.9% to 0.5%.
