Ukraine not planning to pump gas into underground storage facilities until late 2015 – Naftogaz chief
Ukraine is not planning to pump gas into its underground storage facilities until the end of this year, Head of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy Andriy Kobolev said in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"We've starting pumping gas out. Pumping into [underground storage facilities] has no sense… we do not plan to pump [gas] until the end of the year. The stock [of over 17 billion cubic meters] is enough, we believe," he said.
He said that thanks to the use of gas stocks, which are larger than last year, and restricted imports, Ukraine will be able to pass the heating season comfortably.
