Ukraine searching for ways to bring gas from Turkmenistan, planning to transport oil by ferry
Ukraine is negotiating on oil supplies with Turkmenistan and is searching for a rational gas delivery option, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko has said.
"Turkmen gas deliveries are important to us; all we have to do is find a rational delivery option. Yet for now the negotiations are focused on the delivery of Turkmen oil," Zubko told reporters in Ashgabat on Thursday.
Both countries are discussion how to ship oil, he said.
"We understand how, by ferry lines, Ukraine can be supplied with crude oil and fuel in order to diversify their delivery to Ukraine," Zubko said.
