Ukraine to get $1 bln U.S. loan guarantees if IMF program, anti-corruption reforms are implemented – U.S. Secretary of Commerce
Ukraine will receive U.S. loan guarantees in the amount of $1 billion if the country implements the economic program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and carried out anti-corruption reforms, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker has said at a briefing in Kyiv.
"The condition for providing U.S. credit guarantees will be Ukraine's progress in reforming the economic program, including the IMF program, and a particular impetus in the fight against corruption," she said.
According to her, the U.S. loan guarantees of $1 billion which Ukraine may receive at the end of the year will be used to carry out economic reforms and improve the investment climate.
