Ukraine increases gas pumping into UGS to 86 mcm per day
Ukraine on October 17, 2015 pumped 85.6 million cubic meters (mcm) of natural gas into its underground gas storage facilities (UGS).
According to PJSC Ukrtransgaz, on October 1-17 Ukraine's UGS were replenished with 507.3 million cubic meters of natural gas, in particular by 371.1 million cubic meters on October 13-17.
A significant increase in the rate of gas pumping into UGS occurred with the resumption of gas imports from Russia on October 12. Deliveries from Russia on October 12-17 totaled 607 million cubic meters.
Ukraine also continues to import gas from Europe, in particular in recent days supplies from Slovakia were 11.6 million cubic meters of gas per day.
As reported, in January-September 2015 Russian gas accounted for 30.2% of the total volume of gas imported to Ukraine against 86.3% in the same period in 2014. The remaining 69.8% of gas in the first nine months came to the country from Europe, while in January-September 2014 the figure from European was only 13.7%.
