President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said he supports the deregulation of Ukrainian ports.
While opening an administrative services center in Odesa, Porohenko announced that he arrived in the city with Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky.
"I asked him to check our steps on deregulation in ports," he added.
According to Poroshenko, vessel customs clearance in ports has been delayed because of bribes and other corruption schemes.
He said that he intends to talk with the captains of foreign ships to see what the paper work situation in Odesa is like.
