Naftogaz applies for 114 mln cubic meters of Gazprom gas per day to raise gas stocks to 17-18 bln cubic meters
Naftogaz Ukrainy has sent a request to Russia's Gazprom for the supply of 114 million cubic meters of natural gasper day which will significantly increase gas stocks in underground storage facilities in the coming days, Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said.
"In 20 to 30 days, the gas volumes in the storage facilities will be significantly increased. At the moment, there are 15.8 billion cubic meters. We plan to increase the volume to 17-18 billion cubic meters," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
The minister said that Naftogaz has accumulated $500 million, which is enough to buy 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas.
