Ukraine, Russia finance ministers agree to support dialog over paying Ukrainian debt
Finance Minister of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko and her Russian counterpart Anton Siluanov, on the sidelines of the meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMD) and the World Bank in Lima, Peru, discussed the payment of Ukrainian debt of $3 billion and agreed to support a dialog on the issue.
Siluanov told reporters that he said that Russia is not a commercial creditor and the conditions proposed by Ukraine are unacceptable for the country.
"We agreed to support dialog," he said.
Jaresko presented the details on the agreement on debt restructuring reached with the Ad Hoc Committee of Creditors and called on Russia to participate in the agreement.
German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble also took part in the meeting.
