Nazarbayev expects Kazakh, Ukrainian companies to reach agreements on coal supply to Kyiv
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said he has discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko the situation with coal supply to Ukraine.
"We have determined what is necessary for the supply of coal that is needed by Ukrainian electric power stations […] Our private companies will decide among themselves," he said after negotiations with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Astana on Friday.
As to the possibility of oil supply, Nazarbayev said: "The supply of crude oil to Ukrainian oil refineries is problematic because it runs through the territory of Russia."
