Ukraine is not getting coal from Russia, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has told reporters after a cabinet meeting.
"We receive nothing from Russia, except for 30,000 tonnes supplied in August, although there is an agreement that a certain amount of coal will be delivered and contracts have been signed," he said.
Demchyshyn said there are currently no major problems with coal accumulation as 20,000-30,000 tonnes of coal are supplied to power plants every day.
The minister confirmed that the situation with coal accumulation in warehouses has recently improved due to the allocation of necessary funds for coal purchases and improved logistics.
