UIA plans to post minimum losses in 2015 – UIA president
Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv), the largest airline in the country, intends to post a minimum level of loss in 2015, airline president Yuriy Miroshnykov has said during a press conference in Kyiv.
"We plan to post minimum losses," he said.
According to the UIA president, the company's turnover, according to its forecasts in 2015 will be about $700 million, which is much higher than in 2014, but he failed to provide an exact figure.
As reported in late 2014, with reference to Miroshnykov, UIA planned in 2015 to reach self-sufficiency. He also noted that the company in 2015 could return turnover of $750 million with a 20% smaller fleet than in 2013.
UIA was founded in 1992. It is the largest Ukrainian airline. The base airport is Boryspil airport. UIA's fleet consists of 31 aircraft: 27 medium-haul and four long-haul aircraft.
