Cabinet exempts maize, barley, milk powder, butter from state price regulation in 2015/2016
The Ukrainian government has reduced the number of items subject to state price regulation in 2015-2016 by exempting corn, barley, milk powder and butter.
An updated list was approved by Cabinet resolution No. 771 of September 30.
According to the report, state regulation of wheat, rye, wheat and rye flour, granulated beet sugar and buckwheat prices was extended by two months – from the beginning of November 2015 until the end of June 2016.
As reported, each year the government determines the list of items subject to state price regulation, procurement or sales of which is carried out by the Agrarian Fund depending on the market situation. Minimum and maximum intervention prices are set for items subject to state price regulation which serve as an indicator for financial and commodity interventions by the Agrarian Fund.
