Japan's JCoal to audit Zmiyivska TPP - Demchyshyn

Japan Coal Energy Center (JCoal) plans to conduct a technical audit of Zmiyivska thermal power plant (TPP, PJSC Centrenergo) in October-November 2015, Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has said at the second Ukrainian-Japanese seminar on energy security in Kyiv.

The minister also expressed his gratitude to JCoal for its previous technical audit of Trypilska and Burshtyn TPPs (Centrenergo and Zakhidenergo).

"In addition, I want to express special thanks to the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) for suggesting the possibility of implementing a demonstration project on the replacement of a steam turbine at Trypilska TPP. The practical steps of this project are now being discussed. I hope in the end it will be implemented," Demchyshyn said.
