Ukrainian PM orders immediate stop to using Kaspersky Lab software at state institutions
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, acting in accordance with a decision adopted by Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), has ordered the State Service for Specialized Communications and Telecommunications to immediately turn off updates for Kaspersky Lab software and stop using it at state institutions.
"Arseniy Yatseniuk noted that, in compliance with the NSDC decision, there is a direct ban on the use of Russian software. He noted that he was speaking about Kaspersky Lab software in particular. The head of government ordered the State Service for Specialized Communications and Telecommunications to immediately turn off the program's updates and stop acquiring and using it at state institutions," the cabinet's press service reported after a government session on Friday.
