Ukrainian economy ministry permits alcohol imports without certification
The Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine has permitted imports of alcohol without mandatory certification by UkrSEPRO.
"Some good news from the deregulation fields where the joint group of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry defeated the hydra of corruption and red tape. From September 20 the valuable hill is won from the opponent – imports of alcohol without mandatory certification by UkrSEPRO," Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Maksym Nefiodov wrote on his Facebook page.
He said that information from Stolychna, Pivdenna and Odesa customs centers had arrived which stated that businesses had managed to import products without certification with just a stamp of the State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service of Ukraine.
He added that the system is working not ideally, as not all customs centers have received explanations, or understood and observed them.
