Gazprom in Q4 2015, Q1 2016 won't use "take and pay" conditions for Ukraine for gas

Gazprom in a letter to Naftogaz Ukrainy confirmed that it will not apply "take and pay" conditions to the contract for the sale and purchase of gas from January 19, 2009 in relation to supplies of Russia gas to Ukraine in the period from October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016, Gazprom said.

The letter also said that Gazprom is keeping all of its rights according to the contract from 2009.

The relevant letter with the signature of Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller was sent to Naftogaz Ukrainy on September 24.
