Novak: Russia is ready to give Ukraine discount on gas in Q4, price to be lower than in Q3
Russia will be ready to provide Ukraine with a discount on gas bought for Q4, the price will be level with the prices for Ukraine's neighboring countries, for example, with Poland, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on air on Rossiya-24 television channel.
He did not speak about the concrete price, noting that it will be "slightly lower" than the price for Q3, which was offered to Ukraine.
"But the problem is that Ukraine has not asked us for a discount," the minister said.
Novak also denied information that Naftogaz Ukrainy asked Gazprom for an advance for the transit of Russian gas across Ukrainian territory.
