Ukraine imports over 1 bcm of gas from EU in Aug – Ukrtransgaz
Ukraine imported 1.031 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas from the European Union in August 2015, the press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz reported on Wednesday.
The company said that the whole gas volume was imported from Slovakia.
As of September 2, Ukraine imported gas only via Slovakia at the daily pace of 23.7 million cubic meters.
The press service said that the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the launch of the Vojany-Uzhgorod pipeline was held on September 2, 2014 and over 10.9 bcm of gas has been supplied to Ukraine from Slovakia in a year.
