Energy minister: govt has required energy resource to pass heating season
The Ukrainian government has the required energy resource to successfully pass the autumn and winter period, Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn said during his working visit to Donetsk region on Saturday.
He said that Ukrainian authorities supply anthracite coal for the needs of the Ukrainian energy complex from the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone.
"Today we supply around 600,000 tonnes from the ATO zone," the minister said.
Demchyshyn also said that at present coal is being also supplied from Russia and it is expected that coal would arrive from South Africa.
"Some stations receive coal from Russia, it is supplied today. Ships are coming from South Africa," he said.
