Gazprom, Naftogaz heads meet for first time in six months
PJSC Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) CEO Alexei Miller and the CEO of Naftogaz Ukrainy, Andriy Kobolev, have discussed issues of the companies' current cooperation and the progress of Naftogaz's preparations for the autumn-winter period.
The meeting took place on neutral territory in Minsk.
This is the first meeting of the heads of Gazprom and Naftogaz in six months. Before this, Miller and Kobolev met in April 2014 at the central office of Gazprom. The parties discussed measures for Naftgaz Ukrainy repaying its accumulated debt for Russian natural gas supplies. Then Gazprom still has not transferred Ukraine to pre-payment.
Miller, unlike Kobolev, did not participate in the trilateral talks on gas in Brussels.
