Energy minister hopes money to buy gas to be provided after meeting in Vienna on Aug 27-28

Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn has expressed hope that money to buy gas will be provided after a meeting with representatives of the European Commission to be held in Vienna on August 27 and August 28.

"No one wants to give money. The meeting will be held in Vienna on [August] 27-28. It is planned to meet our U.S. partners. I hope that it will be a phase [in the issue]," he said after a cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.

Demchyshyn said that the American partners are representatives of the Department of State, and that they will take part in the meeting unofficially.
