Ukraine imports 474.6 mcm of gas from EU since early Aug
Ukraine imported 474.6 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas from the EU between August 1 and August 16, the press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz reported on Monday.
During this period, gas was imported only from Slovakia.
"As of August 17, gas is accumulated at the pace of 50.2 mcm a day. Since early 2015, 6.15 billion cubic meters (bcm) has been pumped into Ukrainian underground storage facilities, including 700 mcm in the first half of August," the report said.
As reported, in 2015 Ukraine imported 7.4 bcm of gas from the EU, including 6.9 bcm from Slovakia, 400 mcm from Hungary, and 100 mcm from Poland.
