Ukraine's Ministry of Finance plans in November 2015 to raise $1 billion under the guarantees of the United States, according to a presentation from the ministry posted on its website.
In general, the ministry expects to receive $3.2 billion from international financial organizations and partner governments by the end of the year, including $1 billion from the World Bank ($500 million at the end of August and late September), $1 billion under U.S. guarantees, EUR600 million from the European Commission in the fourth quarter, $300 million from the government of Japan in late October, EUR200 million from the government of Germany at the end of August and NOK200 million from the Norwegian government in October.
As reported, Ukraine on May 27, 2015 placed five-year eurobonds worth $1 billion under U.S. guarantees with a yield higher than similar U.S. government bonds by 32 basis points.
The organizers of the transaction were Citi, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
