Health minister Kvitashvili wrote no resignation letter – ministry source
Health Minister of Ukraine Alexander Kvitashvili hasn't written a letter of resignation, according to a source in the ministry.
"I just talked to him, that isn't true, he didn't write the letter of resignation," the source told Interfax on Thursday morning.
Earlier, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, referring to its member Ihor Kononenko, wrote on Twitter that Kvitashvili had written a letter of resignation.
"Ihor Kononenko: health minister Alexander Kvitashvili wrote a letter of resignation, however the Cabinet of Ministers hasn't considered it so far," reads the twitter post.
As reported, Petro Poroshenko Bloc has called for the resignation of Kvitashvili.
"Our internal audit showed that the situation in the Health Ministry is out of control," Kononenko said in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said his faction has no issues with the minister's work, however it insists on his resignation as "today he can't govern [the ministry]."
