E-procurement allows Defense Ministry to save over UAH 300 mln - minister
The electronic procurement system has allowed the Defense Ministry of Ukraine to save more than UAH 300 million, Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak has said.
"The Ministry of Defense was the first ministry which switched to e-procurement. At present, on major points we transferred to e-procurement and already have serious results. Compared to the previous years, the savings exceed UAH 300 million," he told reporters at the Yavoriv training area (Lviv region).
Poltorak stressed that the Defense Ministry would fully switch to electronic procurement as this "removes human error and reduces corruption risks in holding such tenders."
