The Cabinet of Ministers has permitted the State Ecological Inspectorate to carry out checks on Bytrembudmaterialy's (BRSM) to ascertain whether it adheres to the requirements of environmental legislation.
This is stipulated in government order No. 638-r of June 17, 2015, the text of which has been posted on the website of the Cabinet.
"To permit the State Ecological Inspectorate in June 2015 to carry out checks on Bytrembudmaterialy's observing the requirements of environmental legislation in order to assess negative consequences to the environment caused by the emergency situation that occurred in Vasylkiv district of Kyiv region on June 8, 2015," reads the order.
As reported, a fire at the BRSM-Nafta oil depot in the village of Kriachky in Vasylkiv district of Kyiv region occurred in the evening of June 8. As a result, five people died and 15 were injured.
