Yatseniuk preparing address on subsidies, tariffs for Sunday
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk is preparing an address to Ukrainian citizens on subsidies and tariffs for public utilities.
"For the day after tomorrow, I'm preparing an address on subsidies and tariffs," he said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on energy efficiency in Kyiv on Friday.
Yatseniuk said tariffs aren't expected to be lowered, saying that prices for gas with the consumption norm of 200 cubic meters for the public only covers 50% of market value.
"All these tales and stories that tariffs can be lowered – all these are attempts [at promotion] before the municipal elections," he added.
